For anyone fearing acupuncture is a women’s only club, please think again. From our first meeting Julie and Jen did THE most amazing job at making me feel wanted and welcome into their world – in fact more so than any other acupuncture college I visited - and throughout my time at TAA and beyond I have had mentors both male and female that continue to advise and inspire me today.  So the perception of the ‘feminisation’ of the industry is wrong. Wanting to nurture, care and help people are not mutually exclusive to gender and with a future patient-base likely to cover a broad church of people, sometimes knowing when to talk a little more “male” in clinic can even be advantageous - whether the trivial such as the local football team or life’s issues from a different perspective. TAA will help you find the right blend that is right for you and teach you that your therapeutic relationship is every bit as important as your academic knowledge.    Similarly, TAA will help redress any fears that acupuncture might be too ‘candles and sandals’ for you. Your acupuncture journey is what you make it and whether you choose to embrace the science or the spiritual, TAA will help get you there. And along the way TAA’s mindful balance of both - and of yourself - may well help you find that a combination of the two is what will help you thrive in your studies, your practice and your life!
